Customers in the sub-4-meter compact SUV segment are spoilt for choice, thanks to the long list of models available in the market. Furthermore, brands are working to expand their portfolio with new products in order to cater to a larger market share. In line with this, let’s look at the new compact SUVs launching soon in India.

1. Renault Kiger Facelift

Renault has confirmed the launch timeline of the Kiger facelift. Scheduled to go on sale on August 24, the updated compact SUV will pack comprehensive changes inside and out. The first mid-cycle facelift of the Kiger will get a new exterior design, including new headlamps, bumpers, tail lights and a fresh set of alloy wheels.

The cabin layout will get a complete redesign with features like 360-degree parking camera, Level 2 ADAS, ventilated front seats, larger infotainment system and more. Under the hood, the next-gen Hyundai Venue will be powered by the familiar 1.2-litre petrol, 1.0-litre tGDi petrol and 1.5-litre CRDi diesel engines.

3. Tata Punch Facelift

The Punch is the best-selling model in the Tata line-up, and it is now due for a mid-life update. Expected to launch in the Indian market by the end of 2025, the updated model will get a new exterior design, similar to what we have seen in the Punch EV. However, there will be some minor differences, like a different design for alloy wheels.

The revised interiors will feature a new steering wheel, tweaks to the dashboard, a larger 10.25-inch infotainment system and a fully digital instrument cluster. Mechanically, the Punch Facelift will remain the same with a familiar 1.2-litre petrol engine under the hood, along with the CNG fuel option.

Rivalling the likes of Tata Nexon EV and upcoming Kia Syros EV, the compact electric SUV will replace the XUV400 EV in the brand’s line-up.
