Skoda India continued its golden run with 5,554 units sold in July 2025; Volkswagen India’s sales stood at 3,212 units last month
Skoda India registered a staggering YoY sales growth of 164 percent in July 2025 as it retailed 5,554 units as compared to 2,103 units during the same month last year in the domestic market. In addition, it posted a MoM growth of 11 percent as the European brand managed to sell 5,014 units in June 2025. As for its German counterpart, Volkswagen recorded sales of 3,212 units last month, and it still witnessed YoY de-growth of 6 percent with volumes of 3,407 units in July 2024. The MoM sales growth of 4 percent was seen with numbers falling to 3,089 units in June 2025.
Skoda Model-Wise Sales July 2025
Skoda’s success story was spearheaded by the Kylaq SUV with sales of 3,377 units. The compact SUV has turned out to be one of the most profitable and highest-selling models for the company ever since it was launched in December 2024. The Slavia sedan also had a decent outing last month with sales of 1,168 units as compared to 793 units sold in July 2024 with YoY growth of 47 percent.
Skoda Kushaq YoY sales dipped by 16 percent as numbers fell in triple digits (901 units) against the 1,070 units retailed in July 2024. Though it was still better than June 2025 as Skoda had only managed to retail 792 units. Coming to the Kodiaq seven-seater SUV, it too faced disappointment with numbers down to just 106 units as compared to 240 units in July 2024.

Last but not least, Skoda finally started the deliveries of the all-new Superb in the Indian market with 2 units being sold in July 2025. The sedan was relaunched last year as CBU at a startling price tag of Rs 54 lakh (ex-showroom), putting it in the same league as Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Audi A4, and BMW 3-Series.
Volkswagen Model-Wise Sales July 2025
The Virtus sedan continued to shine for the German brand with numbers of 1,797 units last month as compared to 1,766 units in July 2024. It recorded YoY and MoM sales growth of 2 percent and 1 percent, respectively. The Taigun with 1,327 units saw a rise in MoM sales by 14 percent as 1,168 were retailed in June 2025. Though the YoY sales declined by 15 percent with 1,564 units sold in July 2024.

Volkswagen also commenced the deliveries of the Golf GTI with 60 units being handed over to the buyers. Lastly, it somehow managed to sell 28 units of the Tiguan in July 2025 as compared to 77 units during the same month last year. Though YoY sales suffered a setback, MoM sales improved by 460 percent as Volkswagen had retailed only 5 units of the SUV in June 2025.
