Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has finished the first quarter of FY2026 with a total of 1,80,399 units sold across domestic and international markets. Of this, exports accounted for 48,140 units – up 13 per cent from the 42,600 units recorded in the same quarter last year – indicating growing traction for locally-made cars in overseas regions.

Export contribution as a share of total quarterly sales has climbed from 22.2 per cent to 26.7 per cent year-on-year. In the month of June 2025, Hyundai clocked 60,924 units in overall monthly dispatches. The split stood at 44,024 units sold within India and 16,900 units shipped abroad as Hyundai’s numbers improved big time compared to the previous month.

The lineup of Sport Utility Vehicles continued to anchor Hyundai’s India portfolio, contributing 67.6 per cent to its domestic sales in June 2025. Hyundai further noted it remains measured in its short term expectations, even as macroeconomic signs such as the repo rate cuts and adjustments to the Cash Reserve Ratio begin to ease liquidity conditions.
