Honor confirms the Magic8 launch timeframe

The Honor Magic8 series will be unveiled in the fourth quarter of 2025 (October-December), reveals Honor CMO Guo Rui. “The upcoming #HonorMagic8# AI-native smartphone will be the most exciting flagship of Q4,” writes Guo.

We’ve heard through the grapevine that the Magic8 phones will have a dedicated AI button. While that hasn’t been officially confirmed, Honor CEO James Li revealed that MagicOS 10 will have deep AI integration and will be able to automate many tasks. Additionally, it will have a state-of-the-art large language model (LLM).

We don’t have a more specific timeframe than Q4 for now, not officially. One rumor suggested a mid-October launch, which would be slightly earlier than the Magic7 series – that was unveiled in late October 2024.

The Magic7 series didn’t arrive all at once, though – phones like the RSR Porsche Design model were unveiled a couple of months later. A split launch is likely to happen this year too with the Honor Magic8 and Magic8 Pro launching in Q4 (mid-October or whenever) and the Magic8 Ultra and Magic8 Mini coming in early 2026.

The company is already teasing features like NoxGod tech for the 200MP telephoto camera. The Magic8 series will allegedly also have a dToF sensor.
