Xiaomi’s upcoming 17 series has appeared on video several times already – and here’s one more video. Additionally, the batteries of the phones were photographed, possibly revealing their capacity.
The series will have three models: vanilla, Pro and Pro Max. Both the vanilla Xiaomi 17 and the 17 Pro will have 6.3” screens. You can tell them apart by the second screen – the Pro (and Pro Max) will have a secondary screen on the camera island on the back. The Xiaomi 17 Pro Max main screen size is yet to be confirmed.

Xiaomi shared official images of the Xiaomi 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max. The smaller model is pictured in Cold Smoke Purple, the larger one in Forest Green. And while we still don’t have a confirmation on the Pro Max screen size, we know that the whole 17 series will use flat displays. The Pros will have narrow bezels, measuring 1.18mm.

Xiaomi 17 series
As promised, here is a photo of three batteries: BM6H, BM72 and BM6N. The middle one has a typical capacity of 7,500mAh (7,300mAh rated), so it should go into the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max.

The one on the left is 6,300mAh typical (6,150mAh rated) and could go into the Xiaomi 17 Pro – notice that it has the same shape. This is the new L-shaped Jinshajiang battery. The one on the right is bigger with a typical capacity of 6,800mAh (6,660mAh rated) and could be destined for the vanilla Xiaomi 17. In case you are wondering why the Pro model will get a smaller battery than the same-sized vanilla model, fast-charging batteries tend to have smaller capacities.
This is also interesting – the three batteries on a digital scale. They are quite heavy, 81.5g for the BM72, which might make them the second heaviest component in the phone after the frame.
