Maruti Suzuki Sales September 2025 – Over 1.32 Lakh Cars Sold

Maruti Suzuki sold a total of 1,32,821 passenger vehicles in the domestic market in September 2025; Total export sales stood at 41,204 units

Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL), the country’s leading car manufacturer, reported a decline in sales in the month of September 2025. Overall, the YOY sales saw a downward trend, however, the exports and sales to other OEMs continue to boost Maruti’s graph.

The company sold a total of 1,32,821 units in September 2025, marking an 8.38% YOY de-growth. The sales numbers in September 2024 stood at 1,44,962 units. On the MOM front, 1,31,278 units were sold in August 2025, recording a small 1.17% growth.

Diving into the details, the mini segment, which includes Alto and S-Presso, saw a significant decline, while the compact segment with cars like Baleno, Dzire, Ignis, Swift and WagonR witnessed total sales of 66,882 units.

One of the most prominent categories is the utility vehicle segment with models like Brezza, Ertiga, Fronx, Victoris, Grand Vitara, XL6, Jimny and Invicto. This segment contributed 48,695 units, a decline from the previous year’s figures of 61,549 units. A similar trend can be observed for the utility vehicle segment in the April-September period.

Taking into account the light commercial vehicle (LCV) segment with the Super Carry being the sole product, the total domestic sales (PV+LCV) stood at 1,35,711 units (1,48,061 units in September 2024). In addition to this, the tally for sales to other OEMs stood at 11,750 units, which accounts for the volumes delivered to Toyota. The total domestic sales combined for PV, LCV and OEM declined from 1,56,999 units in September 2024 to 1,47,461 units in September 2025.

Talking about the exports, Maruti Suzuki shipped 42,204 units to overseas markets in September 2025. The export count for September 2024 was 27,728, highlighting a significant growth in the export numbers. The exports in the April-September timeline stood at 2,07,459 units, a strong growth over the 1,48,276 units mark in the same period last year.

If the total domestic sales (PV+LCV + sales to other OEMs) and domestic numbers are taken into account for September 2025, Maruti Suzuki registered a YOY growth of 2.67% with 1,89,665 units in the bag. These numbers stood at 1,84,727 units in the month of September 2024.
