Bajaj is expected to launch the next-gen Chetak early next year while new Pulsars and under 350 cc KTM and Triumph motorcycles are also in the works
Bajaj Auto appears to be preparing to expand its range as it has been confirmed to introduce new Pulsar motorcycles and the next generation Chetak electric scooter. With launches scheduled over the next year or so, the Chakan-based manufacturer will also bring in a new sub-brand to leverage its popularity in the motorcycle space.
The Pulsar family, which continues to be Bajaj’s most iconic range, is set to receive at least three new models in the coming year. Unlike routine cosmetic refreshes, these upcoming Pulsars will likely carry new engines, reworked chassis components and upgraded digital instrumentation. Currently, the Pulsar lineup spans from the entry-level 125 cc commuter to the NS 400Z streetfighter.
But the new models are expected to push the upper limits further. Reports suggest the upcoming Pulsars could debut new styling inspired by the NS 400Z with sharper body panels, all-LED lighting and improved ergonomics. With rivals like TVS Apache constantly evolving, Bajaj seems set to keep the Pulsar nameplate at the forefront of the sporty commuter segment.

In addition to the new Pulsars, Bajaj is readying the next generation Chetak electric scooter which has gained prominence courtesy of the expansion of its portfolio and availability across India. The forthcoming Chetak will reportedly use larger batteries alongside quicker charging and other changes to compete firmly against Ola, Ather and TVS.
Currently it features a 3.5 kWh battery pack offering a range of up to 153 km. The upgraded model could also boast higher efficiency, better thermal management and revised software integration for enhanced performance. It is expected to improve acceleration and connectivity. Built on a revised frame, it will continue with its metal body construction while introducing new connected features.

Against the backdrop of the recent GST overhaul in India, Bajaj Auto is working with KTM and Triumph to bring in a new suite of motorcycles that stay under the 350 cc threshold to benefit from the reduced 18 per cent GST rate. A new sub-brand for motorcycles under the Bajaj banner is also in the pipeline.
