It’s that time of year again – Amazon has confirmed the dates for Black Friday Week and Cyber Monday. The retail giant also offered a preview of the deals to come and kicked off a mini sales event today.
Black Friday Week will start on November 20 (Thursday next week) and will run through December 1, which is the traditional Cyber Monday date. Note that Black Friday falls on November 28 this year.
Here’s a preview of what to expect. Amazon’s own devices will be discounted by up to 50%. This includes things like the Echo Dot Max, Fire TV Stick 4K Select, Fire TV 50” 4-Series, Blink Mini 2K+ and Blink Outdoor 2K+. Additionally, Fire HD 8 and Fire HD 10 tablets, plus the Kindle Paperwhite and Kindle Scribe Essentials Bundle e-readers will be discounted.

Other brands will join in – select Samsung and Google products will be up to 35% off. If you are shopping for a new PC, Acer and Asus models are headed for a 45% discount. Home entertainment tech from LG, TCL and Hisense will be up to 40% off, Bose up to 45% off and select gadgets from JBL and Canon will be up to 50% off.
As a warm up, Amazon Haul is having a two-day global sales event starting today (November 10) and ending tomorrow. Haul is a new storefront for affordable fashion, home, lifestyle, electronics and other categories on the cheap – some items are as low as $0.11.

Anyway, you will need an active Amazon Prime subscription to participate in the Prime sales event. You can use the 30-day free trial if you haven’t already or subscribe for a month for $15 (a year is a bit cheaper at $139, which is $11.58/month). If you are between 18 and 24 years old, you can try Prime for Young Adults instead – it has a much more generous 6-month free trial and a half-price membership ($7.50 a month or $69 a year).
