The Bajaj Pulsar line-up will undergo a major overhaul in the coming months, featuring minor as well as major model updates
The Pulsar is Bajaj Auto’s most popular motorcycle line-up, and it will receive multiple updates in the coming months. The Indian two-wheeler manufacturers recently revealed that a total of 8 new Pulsar models are in the pipeline, and all these refreshed motorcycles will be launched in the domestic market by May 2026.
As a part of the overhaul in the Pulsar line-up, some motorcycles will get minor updates, while others will likely feature comprehensive changes. Currently, the Pulsar nameplate is spread across four different series, i.e. Pulsar N, Pulsar NS, Pulsar RS and the OG Pulsar, which the company refers to as the Classic.
During a recent earnings call, a senior executive at Bajaj highlighted that seven motorcycles in its line-up have already been updated since November 2025. The most recent names include the 2026 Pulsar 125 and Pulsar 150. With these updates, the company aims to increase its market share in the 125cc and 150cc plus segments.

While the specific details around the upcoming models are under wraps, we expect the NS series, which includes NS125, NS160, NS200 and NS400Z, to get a major overhaul. This comes down to the fact that the NS series hasn’t got any major changes in the last few years, and an update in terms of design, engine, as well as equipment is the need of the hour.
As for the flagship Pulsar is concerned, the NS400Z is expected to get a new sub-350cc engine, downsized from the current 373.33cc, in order to take advantage of the lower 18% GST slab and achieve a more affordable sticker cost. However, it is highly unlikely to happen anytime soon.

The Pulsar N series, i.e. N125, N160 and N250, could get some minor cosmetic tweaks, along with some new features. Setting aside the Pulsar franchise, Bajaj is also planning to expand its portfolio in the coming years, particularly with a dedicated brand for the 125cc segment, which will be positioned below the Pulsar. Apart from this, the expansion of the Dominar nameplate and new off-road oriented motorcycles are also under consideration.
