Bajaj recorded total vehicle dispatches of 4,77,422 units in January 2026 with a year-on-year growth of 25 per cent as against 3,81,040 units

Bajaj Auto has had a brilliant start to the new calendar year with impressive sales numbers in both domestic and overseas markets in January 2026. The company recorded total vehicle dispatches of 4,77,422 units during the month with a year-on-year growth of 25 per cent as against 3,81,040 units sold during the corresponding period twelve months ago.

The two-wheeler segment remained the backbone of Bajaj Auto’s volumes last month. The total sales stood at 4,06,295 units by registering a growth of 24 per cent over the sale period last year. The local two-wheeler dispatches surged by 25 per cent to 2,14,727 units courtesy of increasing preference from customers across different segments.

Exports once again played a significant role in Bajaj Auto’s overall growth. The two-wheeler exports increased by 22 per cent year-on-year to 1,91,568 units reinforcing the brand’s presence across international markets in Africa, Latin America and parts of Asia. Export volumes continue to account for a significant share of Bajaj Auto’s monthly performance in recent memory.

The commercial vehicle segment posted a healthier growth performance during the month. The total CV sales jumped by 35 per cent to 71,127 units in January 2026. Meanwhile, the domestic CV dispatches rose by 27 per cent to 47,248 units while exports witnessed a sharp jump of 53 per cent – reaching a tally of 23,879 units.

Overall the local sales across two-wheelers and commercial vehicles stood at 2,61,975 units – up 26 per cent compared to last year. Exports, meanwhile, increased by 25 per cent to 2,15,447 units. On a year-to-date basis for the April–January period of FY2026, Bajaj Auto recorded cumulative sales of 42,24,031 units with a growth of 8 per cent over the same period last fiscal.

While domestic volumes remained largely stable with a marginal decline of 1 per cent, exports rose strongly by 20 per cent. The consistent rise in export volumes coupled with good domestic recovery places Bajaj Auto in a good position in the final quarter of the financial year.
