BMW Group India is revving up the luxury segment with its best-ever sales performance in 2025. Between January and September, the company sold 11,978 units with a 13 per cent increase compared to the same period last year. The growth has been fuelled by strong demand across electric vehicles, long wheelbase sedans and SUVs alongside the benefits of new GST pricing and the festive season furore.

Electric vehicles have emerged as a major growth contributor with BMW and Mini selling 2,509 EVs in the first nine months with a staggering 246 per cent increase over the previous year. The 3 Series continues to dominate its segment with class-leading rear seat space and petrol engine performance while the 7 Series remains India’s most desirable flagship luxury limo.

BMW’s SUV lineup strengthened its position with 7,040 units sold – up 19 per cent on a year-on-year basis. The X1remains the highest-selling model as it accounted for over 30 per cent of BMW’s SUV sales while the flagship X7 leads the luxury space in that particular body style. SUVs now make up 59 per cent of the company’s total sales.
