Dubbed the ‘Sprint’, Harley-Davidson’s upcoming entry-level motorcycle is expected to make its global debut later this year
Harley-Davidson is ready to try its hand in the affordable motorcycle segment with an all-new product. The company’s CEO has confirmed this development during a recent investor meeting, giving away some important details about the new entry-level motorcycle. The new platform developed for this affordable model will underpin a range of new bikes.
Christened the ‘Sprint’, the motorcycle has been in the development phase since 2021. The small displacement affordable bike will be sold in multiple international markets, including the US. The market launch of the Harley-Davidson Sprint is scheduled for next year, i.e. 2026. However, it will be revealed globally later this year, most likely at the 2025 EICMA.
Talking about the details, the company is targeting a price tag of around $6,000, making it accessible for a wider range of customers globally. In addition to being accessible, the upcoming bike will be profitable, marking a significant step forward in driving the brand’s future growth, as highlighted in the official statement.

While the details on the Sprint are in short supply, the second model in the new entry-level range is believed to be positioned in the cruiser motorcycle segment. Both the upcoming bikes will see their market launch in 2026. The company is looking to bring young customers into the brand, a drift from the conventional image associated with Harley-Davidson being dominated by a mature set of riders.
It is not the first time for the American motorcycle manufacturer to enter this affordable segment. The Street 750 was launched in India back in the year 2014 with a familiar strategy, however, it didn’t perform as expected in the sales department. It is important to note that the aforementioned cruiser motorcycle was one of the best-selling models for Harley-Davidson in the Indian market.

With the upcoming Sprint, Harley-Davidson is ready for its fresh attempt at the affordable segment, which will play a key role in the brand’s growth potential in several key markets.
