Harley-Davidson X440 T gets a different rear end compared to the standard X440; new features and colour schemes will be added
Harley-Davidson is all prepared to introduce a new entry-level motorcycle to its lineup in the domestic market and its images have been revealed through the ride invite the brand has sent us. We are to swing our legs around in Goa next week and here we have given you all the known information.
Firstly, it is no secret that what has been dubbed the X440 T has several commonalities with the regular X440 which has been well received by customers since its market launch and paved the way for the alliance between Hero MotoCorp and Harley-Davidson to garner momentum across India.
The rear profile looks completely different in the Harley-Davidson X440 T as it is more compact and very much straightforward in some quarters compared to the X440 with an old school retro appeal. In comparison, the tail lamp is positioned separately with an elongated rear panel dividing it from the seat.

The LED turn indicators and alloy wheels have been lifted from the X440 but the split grab rails are brand new. The exhaust unit looks slightly different but the engine casing and routing are same as the ones found in the X440. Other highlights include the addition of bar-end mirrors and no performance changes are expected.
The American manufacturer will also bring in new colour schemes to spice things up such as red, white, blue and black with more subtle graphics. The equipment list could comprise a new ride-by-wire throttle system which should enable the presence of three ride modes, traction control and other features that some of its competitors come equipped with already.

However, the circular instrument cluster remain the same. As for the performance, the familiar 440 cc single-cylinder, air and oil cooled, 2-valve engine producing a maximum power output of 27 bhp at 6,000 rpm and 38 Nm of peak torque at 4,000 rpm. It is paired with a six-speed transmission and a slipper/assist clutch which comes as standard.
