Vida has widened its footprint in the electric mobility space by introducing the DIRT.E K3 – a purpose-built off-road motorcycle developed specifically for young riders between four and ten years of age. The brand has built an adjustable platform that evolves with the rider. With the K3, Vida attempts to stretch each purchase across multiple years of growth, learning and confidence building.

The sizing system itself is central to the product’s identity. In its smallest configuration, the K3 measures 1181 mm in length, rising to 1264 mm and 1342 mm in the Medium and Large stages. Saddle height changes accordingly – 454 mm at the lowest, then 544 mm and finally 631 mm – while wheelbase expands from 751 mm to 834 mm and then 912 mm. Each stage maintains predictable ergonomics, ensuring the motorcycle feels familiar even as dimensions increase.

Despite this modularity, the K3 retains a solid stance thanks to a Modular PDC frame and 16×2.4-inch tyres at both ends. Vida’s engineering teams at Hero Tech Centre Germany and the Jaipur-based CIT have centred the machine’s behaviour around linear torque delivery. A hub motor rated at 10A continuous and 20A peak drives the bike – offering roughly 0.68 hp and a strong 39.1 Nm of torque which is good enough for dirt-riding feel without sudden spikes.

Cooling is air-based, throttle response is electronically controlled and parents can further regulate performance through adjustable modes and app-enabled restrictions. Performance is split into three learning modes – Beginner, Amateur and Pro – each with distinct top speeds. Mode 1 delivers around 7–8 kmph, Mode 2 steps up to roughly 16–17 kmph and Mode 3 reaches the bike’s full capability of 23–25 kmph.

A rear flat disc brake of 160 mm is said to offer predictable stopping power while the front brake is available as an accessory. Both tyres require at least 7 PSI with maximum pressure following tyre markings. The K3 uses a 48V NMC Li-ion 21700 battery pack with a 360 Wh capacity, designed to be removed easily for home charging.

With the portable charger, the battery can charge from 20 per cent to 80 per cent in about two hours. Full charge times depend on temperature but remain parent-friendly with simple 230V input and 4A at 42V DC output. The system operates at a standard 50 Hz frequency. VIDA has opted not to offer a fast charger for this model prioritising battery longevity.

An over-moulded wiring harness, a kid-sized brake lever and impact-absorbing components surround are key touchpoints. The magnetic lanyard kill switch – a common feature in professional dirt bikes – instantly cuts power if the rider loses balance or moves too far from the motorcycle. As for the design, the stance mirrors a proper off-road motorcycle with short overhangs, a raised seat and clean proportions that remain unchanged through size transitions.

Vida offers the K3 in three colours: Red, Purple and White. With introductory prices starting at Rs. 69,990 for the first 300 units, Vida has opened bookings ahead of official retail beginning on January 15, 2026. Initial availability will be restricted to select dealerships across Delhi, Bengaluru, Pune, Jaipur and Calicut.
