Huawei is expected to release its next clamshell foldable nova Flip S very soon, and a tipster on Weibo now revealed some intriguing details about its the chipset.

According to the report, the nova Flip S will feature either a toned-down version of the Kirin 9020, meaning the Kirin 8020 or a new chip carrying the Kirin 8030 model name. If it’s the Kirin 8020, there won’t be a surprise as the SoC is powering the Huawei nova 14 Ultra, but the tipster suggests that the new Kirin 8030 will most likely be the chipset.
Additionally, the leak reveals that the design will remain unchanged from the previous nova Flip generation and it will feature 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB and 12GB/1TB memory configurations.
The CPU and GPU info for the Kirin 8030 is absent at this point but it looks like we will know for sure sooner rather than later.
