The next-generation Hyundai Venue is expected to be launched in September 2025, featuring an all-new exterior design and revised interiors
The compact SUV segment continues to dominate the Indian automotive market with skyrocketing sales numbers. Banking on this trend, car manufacturers are updating their existing models, along with introducing new products. In line with this, multiple new compact SUVs are in the pipeline for this year. Let’s look at the new compact SUVs launching this year from Renault, Mahindra, Tata Motors and Mahindra.
1. Renault Kiger Facelift
After the debut of Triber facelift, a mid-life update of the Kiger is the next big launch from Renault. Expected to go on sale in the coming months, the compact SUV was spotted testing last month, revealing a few design details, like an updated front profile with sharper styling, split headlight setup, dedicated fog lamps and a larger lower grille.

Some minor tweaks to the dashboard layout, along with new feature additions, will likely be a part of the package. Under the hood, the familiar 1.0-litre NA petrol and 1.0-litre turbo petrol engines will continue to be a part of the package.

2. Tata Punch Facelift

The Punch is one of the most successful models for Tata Motors, and it is now due for its first mid-cycle update. Expected to launch by the end of 2025, the Punch Facelift will get an all-new exterior design, similar to the Punch EV, albeit with some changes. The revised interiors will feature a new steering wheel, tweaks to the dashboard, a larger 10.25-inch infotainment system and a fully digital instrument cluster. Mechanically, the Punch Facelift will remain the same with a familiar 1.2-litre petrol engine under the hood, along with the CNG fuel option.
3. New-Gen Hyundai Venue
The second-generation Venue will soon go on sale in the Indian market, most probably around September 2025. The new model will feature a completely new exterior design, sharing some familiarity with the Creta, which has been confirmed by the spy shots.

Inside the cabin, a new layout along with new features like Level 2 ADAS, 360-degree camera, panoramic sunroof and more are expected to be a part of the package. Under the hood, the second generation of the compact SUV will continue to be powered by the familiar 1.2-litre petrol, 1.0-litre tGDi petrol and 1.5-litre CRDi diesel engines.

4. Mahindra XUV3XO EV

Mahindra has been testing the electric version of the XUV3XO for a long time, and it is expected to launch by the end of 2025. Rivalling the likes of the Tata Nexon EV and the upcoming Kia Syros EV, it will likely replace the XUV400 EV in the brand’s line-up. Internally codenamed S240, the XUV3XO EV will share its design with its ICE counterpart, albeit with some electric-specific touches. The battery packs could be borrowed from the XUV400 EV, comprising 34.5 kWh and 39.4 kWh units, however, nothing can be confirmed as of now.
