2026 Renault Duster will be introduced on January 26 and it will spawn a three-row sibling next FY
Renault has once again offered a glimpse of the next-generation Duster for the Indian market, this time through a combination of official teasers and recently surfaced spy images. Together, they reveal a production-ready SUV that looks significantly more modern while retaining the tough DNA that made the Duster popular in the first place. The model is scheduled to be officially revealed on January 26, 2026, marking Renault’s most important launch in India in years.
One of the most noticeable changes appears at the front. The test vehicle shows slim headlamp units paired with eyebrow-like LED DRLs, giving the SUV a sharper and more technical appearance. Although the grille remains masked, a front-mounted camera module is clearly visible, strongly indicating the inclusion of a 360-degree camera system. This feature, along with a radar unit positioned behind the windscreen, suggests that the India-spec Duster will debut Level 2 ADAS, something Renault has never offered locally before.
The bumper design further hints at a functional yet aggressive approach. Beneath the concealed grille are multiple narrow air slits, complemented by a wide lower air intake. Fog lamps integrated on either side enhance the upright stance. Another notable addition is the presence of a sunroof, expected to be panoramic, signaling Renault’s intent to move the Duster into a more premium territory.

From the side, the SUV maintains a squared-off silhouette but introduces cleaner surfacing. Rear door handles mounted on the C-pillar create a sleeker visual effect, while pronounced cladding around the wheel arches reinforces its rugged character. The alloy wheels remain hidden under camouflage, though Renault is expected to equip higher trims with large 18-inch diamond-cut alloys. Roof rails and camera housings on the ORVMs further confirm the SUV’s upgraded equipment list.
At the rear, the camouflage partially hides a wraparound tail-lamp design, with indications of a connected LED light strip running across the tailgate. Unlike the Y-shaped lighting elements seen on some international versions, the India-bound model appears to adopt a simpler horizontal LED signature, giving it a distinct identity. Additional elements such as a roof spoiler, rear wiper and parking sensors are also visible.

Renault’s official teaser campaign has already confirmed several exterior details. The upcoming Duster will feature chunky functional roof rails, a strongly sculpted bonnet, slim LED indicators, a full-width rear light bar, and the new Renault emblem. A dark blue paint shade showcased in the teaser highlights the SUV’s evolved design language while keeping the proportions close to the European version.
Underneath the styling changes sits the Renault-Nissan CMF-B platform, which has been extensively localised for India. Manufacturing will take place at Renault’s Oragadam plant in Tamil Nadu, helping the brand maintain competitive pricing. This architecture will also support future body styles, including a three-row derivative planned for the next financial year.
Inside, the cabin is expected to mirror the international-spec Duster with a tech-forward layout. Likely highlights include a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system supporting wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, paired with a 7-inch fully digital driver display. A redesigned centre console with an electronic gear selector, modern trim finishes and sporty accents should further elevate the interior experience.
Feature additions may include wireless phone charging, dual-zone climate control, multiple Type-C fast-charging ports, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a comprehensive Level 2 ADAS package. While Renault has yet to officially reveal engine specifications, the India-spec Duster is expected to launch with two petrol powertrain options, offered with both manual and automatic gearboxes.
