Kia Carens Clavis EV will soon get a six-seater layout and an expanded range comprising GT Line and X-Line trims in India
Kia India appears to be preparing to widen the lineup of the Carens Clavis EV if a recently leaked internal document is anything to go by. The document reveals new trims and seating options along with detailed pricing for multiple variants. One of the biggest highlights will be the introduction of a six-seater configuration.
The document indicates that this layout – featuring captain seats in the second row – will be available from the HTX E variant onwards. Buyers will therefore be able to choose between six- and seven-seat layouts based on their preference. The six-seater setup will not be restricted to a single battery option either.
According to the leaked details, it will be offered with both battery packs available on the Carens Clavis EV. The 42 kWh standard-range version will continue to form the entry point of the lineup while the larger 51.4 kWh extended-range battery will power the higher variants. Pricing details in the leaked document also shed light on the upcoming GT Line and X-Line variants of the Kia Carens Clavis EV.

The GT Line range will be offered in GTX and GTX Plus trims – both paired exclusively with the 51.4 kWh extended-range battery pack. The GTX variants are listed at around Rs. 22.99 lakh (ex-showroom) while the more feature-rich GTX Plus trims are priced at Rs. 24.99 lakh. These versions are expected to bring sportier styling updates and distinctive trim elements compared to the regular HT variants.
The six-seater layout, available across both battery options, starts from Rs. 19.99 lakh for the HTX E standard-range version while the extended-range HTX E variants are listed at around Rs. 21.99 lakh. At the top end of the lineup sits the X-Line variant, also priced close to Rs. 24.99 lakh (ex-showroom) – making it one of the most expensive versions in the Clavis EV range.

The leaked sheet also hints that on-road prices could climb close to Rs. 27 lakh depending on warranty packages, accessories and charging options. While the exact design changes for the GT Line and X-Line versions are not detailed yet, they are expected to bring distinct styling elements, unique trim accents and variant-specific cosmetic updates – similar to what Kia already offers on several of its other models.
