KTM 390 Adventure

KTM has increased the prices of its 390 Adventure range by up to Rs. 27,000; It is the first price increment after the implementation of GST 2.0

KTM received a lot of appreciation for absorbing the GST 2.0 price hike on its 390 range of motorcycles. For reference, the taxation on two-wheeler above 350cc was hiked to 40% under the new GST regime, marking a substantial increase in the overall sticker cost.

The Austrian bike manufacturer maintained the old prices throughout the festive season, giving it a significant boost in sales numbers. Now, post the festive season, the prices of the 390 Adventure range have seen an increase by up to Rs. 27,000.

The standard KTM 390 Adventure gets a straight hike of Rs. 27,000, taking its sticker price to Rs. 3.95 lakh (ex-showroom). On the other hand, the affordable 390 Adventure X has become expensive by Rs. 22,410, and will now set you back by Rs. 3.26 lakh (ex-showroom).

With the new price list in place, the 390 Adventure X is now positioned quite near to the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, a gap that had widened for a short period after the GST 2.0 price hike. The 390 Adventure will now cost around Rs. 5 lakh (on-road, depending on the state), which seems quite expensive for the under 400cc segment, even after factoring in the strong kit on offer.

Meanwhile, the KTM 390 Adventure X continues to offer a strong value-for-money proposition, covering all the basic equipment for the majority of customers. The standard 390 Adventure with its 19/17-inch tubeless spoke wheel setup and adjustable suspension setup will remain the weapon of choice for hardcore off-roading enthusiasts.
