Mahindra Thar Roxx Star Edition distinguishes itself with a host of exclusive exterior updates compared to the regular model
Mahindra & Mahindra has officially launched the Thar Roxx Star Edition in India. Introduced at an introductory price starting from Rs. 16.85 lakh (ex-showroom) for the diesel MT trim, the special edition gets enhanced styling and a long list of features. The Thar Roxx Star Edition distinguishes itself with a host of exclusive exterior updates compared to the regular model.
It is equipped with a piano black front grille that brings a more muscular look – complemented by 19-inch piano black alloy wheels that further enhance its stance. Mahindra has also introduced a new Citrine Yellow paint option for this edition alongside existing colours such as Tango Red, Everest White and Stealth Black.
On the inside, the cabin gains a darker and more premium theme. The Thar Roxx Star Edition gets all-black leatherette seats with suede accents. Dominating the dashboard are twin 26.03 cm digital screens consisting of a touchscreen infotainment system and a fully digital instrument cluster. A panoramic sunroof is also offered in this edition.

In terms of features, the Mahindra Thar Roxx Star Edition comes equipped with Adrenox connected car technology offering 83 connected features. Other highlights are wired and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 360-degree surround-view camera and a 9-speaker Harman Kardon premium audio system. On the mechanical front, it continues with familiar engine options.
The Thar Roxx Star Edition is available with the 2.0-litre mStallion TGDi petrol engine producing 130 kW and 380 Nm and the 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine which is good enough to deliver 128.6 kW and 400 Nm. Both engines are offered with six-speed manual and six-speed torque converter automatic transmissions – coupled exclusively with a rear-wheel-drive configuration.

Engineered for a 5-star Bharat NCAP rating, it gets standard safety features such as six airbags, tyre pressure monitoring system, front and rear parking sensors, rear parking camera, auto-dimming IRVM, impact-sensing auto door unlock, immobiliser and e-call with SOS functionality. Diving deep into the prices, the petrol AT costs Rs. 17.85 lakh and diesel AT at Rs. 18.35 lakh while the price of the petrol MT is yet to be announced.
