Mahindra XEV 9S will become the brand’s first-ever electric three-row offering upon launch on November 27 and it will be loaded with features
Mahindra has revealed a new teaser for its upcoming electric SUV, the XEV 9S, and this time, the focus is entirely on the interior. The preview confirms a highly digital, tech laden cabin layout featuring three individual screens – one for the driver’s display, one central infotainment touchscreen and another for the front passenger.
The SUV is set to make its global debut on November 27 in Bengaluru at the ‘Scream Electric’ event. The Mahindra XEV 9S is a seven-seater born-electric SUV based on the brand’s INGLO skateboard platform. Designed from the ground up as an electric vehicle, the platform vows to offer improved weight distribution, a lower centre of gravity and optimised interior packaging.
The latest teaser showcases several key design and comfort highlights inside the XEV 9S. The flat-bottom steering wheel and a minimalist gear selector are accompanied by front and second-row seats are adjustable in nature. You could also see adjustable headrests, a central armrest, multi-zone climate control, heated and ventilated seats with memory functions and a panoramic sunroof stretching almost the length of the roof.

Expected to be offered in both six- and seven-seat configurations, the XEV 9S is likely to feature a highly configurable cabin layout. A sliding second row and fold-flat third-row seats should allow flexible use of space for both passengers and cargo. The INGLO platform’s modular nature means the XEV 9S will likely share its powertrain and battery architecture with the BE 6 and XEV 9e.
Mahindra is expected to offer two battery pack options targeting a range of over 500 km on a single charge. The SUV will also support ultra-fast DC charging and bidirectional vehicle-to-load (V2L) capability. A suite of Level 2 ADAS system is expected to be part of the standard equipment package.

The Mahindra XEV 9S takes plenty of design inspiration from the XUV.e8 concept and the existing IC-engined XUV700. Following its launch, Mahindra is gearing up for a busy 2026 with more EVs in the pipeline including the BE 6 based Rall-E and the facelifted XUV700.
