Mahindra XEV 9S will be launched on November 27, 2025 and it will be packed with comfort and entertainment oriented features
Mahindra’s push into full-size electric SUVs finally moves into three-row territory with the XEV 9S, scheduled for a formal reveal on November 27, 2025, in Bengaluru. It will sit above the brand’s current electric offerings – targeting customers who want family practicality, long range and premium technologies.
From the outside, it deliberately avoids looking like an electrified XUV700. The front adopts a layered lamp arrangement with separate projectors, a full-width light bar and boomerang LED signatures. The closed nose and smoother surfaces give it a unique identity within Mahindra’s EV range. The cabin is dominated by a continuous triple-screen setup.
It stretches across the dashboard echoing the brand’s newer electric design language seen in the XEV 9e. A light interior theme, slim air vents and a two-spoke steering wheel with the Twin Peaks logo are other highlights. Mahindra has confirmed reclining second-row seats with boss mode and a full panoramic glass roof in teasers over the last week or so.

The latest teaser shows rear entertainment provisions through its BYOD system – allowing occupants to mount personal tablets or screens without adding heavy integrated hardware into the seat backs or headrest area directly. Mahindra has showcased both a conventional boot and a usable front frunk too while rear air vents, centre armrests, multiple storage spaces and cupholders will be available as well.
The Mahindra XEV 9S sits on the brand’s INGLO skateboard platform which already underpins the BE 6 and XEV 9e. The modular architecture supports different battery and motor configurations. However, the additional mass and dimensions of a three-row SUV may slightly affect outright performance and efficiency metrics when compared to its two-row electric siblings.

Mahindra may target a real world driving range well beyond the 500 km mark. Safety and equipment will be equally central with Level 2 ADAS, six airbags, ventilated and powered front seats with memory, wireless charging, connected car tech, powered tailgate, Harman Kardon and a fully digital instrument console will be offered.
