Reservations for the Mahindra XUV 7XO have commenced at dealerships and online ahead of market launch on January 5, 2026

The upcoming XUV 7XO is steadily shaping up as a far more tech-heavy evolution of the XUV700 with the brand continuing to drip-feed details ahead of its January 5, 2026 launch. The latest teaser moves attention firmly to the cabin – confirming a high-end 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system delivering 1,400 W output with Dolby Atmos support.

Inside, the biggest update comes from the dashboard itself. The XUV 7XO becomes the first ICE-powered Mahindra to adopt the brand’s triple-screen layout – previously reserved for its electric models. Teaser visuals also reveal a panoramic sunroof, a new dual-tone brown and tan interior theme and a redesigned steering wheel finished in the same shades.

Revised door pads, reworked air vents and upgraded upholstery will be available in the fully loaded AX7L trim. Mahindra recently confirmed a new 540-degree camera system offering expanded visibility by combining feeds from multiple cameras around the vehicle. Alongside this sits a revamped ADAS visualisation interface that displays active driver assistance functions in real time.

The rear seat comfort and infotainment also get a boost through an in-car theatre mode with BYOD functionality. It allows passengers to stream content via their own devices managed through the updated Adrenox+ platform that now oversees infotainment, connectivity and vehicle intelligence. Features such as Boss Mode seating and a redesigned centre console are other highlights.

The XUV 7XO gets a new lighting system inspired by Mahindra XEV 9S including revised LED daytime running lamps, projector headlamps and a distinctive rear light arrangement with inverted L-shaped elements joined by a full-width light bar. New alloy wheel designs, new exterior shades, updated bumpers and a grille with vertical chrome accents round off the visual refresh.

Despite the long list of updates, Mahindra is not expected to alter the mechanical package. Power is likely to continue coming from the 2.0-litre turbo petrol and 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engines – coupled with six-speed manual and automatic gearboxes. Bookings for the XUV 7XO are already open with a reservation amount of Rs. 21,000 ahead of January 5, 2026 launch.
