Mahindra has strengthened its premium SUV lineup with the launch of the XUV 7XO – a comprehensively updated version of the XUV700. Prices begin at Rs. 13.66 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base AX. The AX3 is priced at Rs. 16.02 lakh for petrol MT and Rs. 16.49 lakh for diesel MT while the AX5 is positioned at Rs. 17.52 lakh and Rs. 17.99 lakh respectively. Stepping into the more premium end, the AX7 starts at Rs. 18.48 lakh for petrol MT and Rs. 18.95 lakh for diesel MT.
Above it sits the AX7T which is sold in both six- and seven-seat configurations. Prices for diesel manual versions range between Rs. 20.99 lakh and Rs. 21.39 lakh while petrol automatics are priced from Rs. 21.97 lakh to Rs. 22.16 lakh. The flagship AX7L caps the lineup, with prices stretching from Rs. 22.47 lakh to Rs. 24.11 lakh, depending on engine, gearbox and seating layout.
Bookings open on January 14, 2026 with customer deliveries planned in multiple phases. Deliveries of the high-end AX7, AX7T and AX7L trims will commence first from mid-January. Entry-level variants such as AX, AX3 and AX5 will reach showrooms later with deliveries scheduled from April 2026. Automatic transmissions command a premium of Rs. 1.45 lakh over manual variants. For buyers seeking enhanced traction, All-Wheel Drive is available only with the diesel engine at an additional Rs. 2.45 lakh. All prices are introductory and valid for the first 40,000 units.

On the technology front, the XUV 7XO raises the bar significantly. It becomes the first ICE-powered SUV in India to offer a full-width triple-screen cockpit – powered by ADRENOX+ software running on a Snapdragon 8155P chipset. Mahindra has also introduced its new DAVINCI suspension system – developed to improve ride comfort, body control and stability on varied surfaces.
Powering the XUV 7XO are Mahindra’s proven turbocharged engines. The 2.0-litre mStallion petrol delivers 200 bhp and 380 Nm while the 2.2-litre mHawk diesel is offered in multiple outputs with torque figures going up to 450 Nm. Depending on the variant, buyers can choose between 6-speed manual and automatic gearboxes with All-Wheel Drive available exclusively on the diesel. Drive modes and micro-hybrid technology are standard across the range.

The dual-tone cabin features powered front seats with Boss Mode, ventilated seating for both rows, a panoramic sunroof, multi-zone ambient lighting and dual wireless chargers with active cooling along with a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system supporting Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision, a new steering wheel, leatherette finishes and more.
