2026 Mahindra XUV700 facelift could arrive in the early parts of next year with notable revisions inside and out
The XUV700, now approaching four years on the road, appears poised for a mid-life refresh. Recent test sightings of camouflaged prototypes have added weight to rumours of an early 2026 launch. Since its introduction, the SUV has built a strong customer base bolstered by multiple variant choices, a feature-rich package and a pair of powerful engines.
The front end appears to receive a notable rework with a reshaped bumper and updated headlamp detailing visible beneath the camouflage. Mahindra has retained the flush-fitting door handles from the current XUV700 but despite the concealment, subtle alterations along the profile suggest additional changes are likely underway.
With speculation mounting, the forthcoming XUV700 facelift is expected to enhance the overall appeal of Mahindra’s most tech-laden ICE SUV offering to date. The all-electric XUV.e8 based XUV 7e has also been making regular appearances in camouflaged test form as well. Though an electric powertrain lies underneath, the 7e is understood to be heavily influenced by the XUV700.

While the tail lamp housings retain their familiar outline, the lighting internals may have been revised. The rear bumper also looks set for a new design. Further changes may arrive in the form of new alloy wheel design and a refreshed exterior paint palette as part of the mid-cycle update for the Mahindra XUV700.
Meanwhile, a more upmarket cabin will debut taking inspiration from the latest born electric range while sharing some notable features with them. The major interior update will be in the form of a triple screen display setup. Given the nature of a mid-cycle revision, the SUV’s proportions are expected to remain unchanged.

Likewise, no mechanical alterations are reportedly in the pipeline. The XUV700 will likely retain the existing powertrain choices – the 2.0-litre turbocharged mStallion petrol and the 2.2-litre mHawk diesel. Gearbox configurations are expected to stay as they are with both the manual and automatic units likely to be retained without modification. Inside, Mahindra may move toward upgraded materials and new surface textures offering an uplift in quality.
