Early buyers of the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara benefit from guaranteed resale value schemes offering up to 60 per cent buyback after three years

Maruti Suzuki has officially initiated customer deliveries of its first mass-market electric SUV in the domestic market. The five-seater has been introduced with a Battery-as-a-Service ownership structure that lowers upfront cost allowing buyers to purchase the vehicle starting at Rs. 10.99 lakh while paying battery usage charges of Rs. 3.99 per km separately.

The company has included the EV with a special ownership package branded as Nexa Edge which is created to simplify the transition to electric mobility. Through these premium dealerships, customers receive a complimentary 7.4 kW home wall charger with installation – plus one year of free public charging access at dealer locations via the dedicated charging app.

Early buyers also benefit from guaranteed resale value schemes offering up to 60 per cent buyback after three years under specific plans. The strategy behind the launch is to make the vehicle a primary EV solution for domestic buyers by combining long driving range, good charging infrastructure support and flexible finance solutions.

The company claims its ecosystem already includes more than 1,500 EV-ready service centres, trained support staff and dedicated charging specialists. Two battery configurations are offered with the midsize e-SUV – 49 kWh and 61 kWh – both protected by an 8-year or 1,60,000 km warranty whichever comes first. The larger pack delivers a certified driving range of up to 543 km under test conditions.

The standard vehicle warranty covers three years with paid extensions available for up to eight years. Flexible purchase schemes are another highlight. Besides BaaS, consumers can opt for the “e Flex” plan which allows them to shift from their existing car to the electric SUV while keeping monthly instalments similar. Additional buyback programmes promise 60 per cent value after three years or 50 per cent after four years – depending on distance limits.

The SUV is equipped with Level 2 driver assistance features such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping support, blind-spot monitoring and automatic emergency braking. Seven airbags come standard along with connected-car tech offering more than 60 remote and in-vehicle functions. It has also secured a full rating of five stars from Bharat NCAP – aided by its high-strength steel structure and battery protection design.

Bookings are open both online and at showrooms with a reservation amount of Rs. 21,000. The introductory benefits and pricing schemes are available for a limited period ending March 31, 2026 after which terms may be revised.
