Maruti Suzuki e Vitara can be had with claimed driving range going up to 543 km on a single charge; available in a total of three variants

A couple of days ago, Maruti Suzuki announced prices for its first all-electric offering, the e Vitara. Carrying a price tag of Rs. 10.99 lakh (ex-showroom) under BaaS scheme, the battery usage charges stand at Rs. 3.99 per km separately. Consumers also benefit from guaranteed resale value schemes offering up to 60 per cent buyback after three years under select plans.

With battery cost included in the pricing, the base Delta 49 kWh variant of the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara costs Rs 15.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai) and is highly competitive compared to other midsize e-SUVs including Hyundai Creta Electric, Mahindra XUV 400 and others. It comes equipped with LED lighting elements, a digital instrument display, automatic climate control, keyless entry, steering-mounted controls, and connected car capability.

Safety kit includes multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, ESC and hill-hold assist, ensuring the entry trim still feels well-equipped. Moving up, the Zeta 61 kWh variant, priced at Rs 17.49 lakh, introduces a larger battery pack and a significant jump in equipment. It adds alloy wheels, a larger infotainment touchscreen, wireless smartphone connectivity, push-button start, cruise control, a rear camera and enhanced interior materials.

Buyers choosing this version benefit from extended driving range of 543 km between charges. At the top sits the Alpha 61 kWh variant, tagged at Rs 19.79 lakh, which packs the full feature suite offered on the electric SUV. It builds on Zeta’s equipment list by adding a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, 360-degree camera, premium sound system and powered driver’s seat.

Other highlights are ambient lighting and advanced driver assistance features. Across all trims, the model shares a dedicated skateboard platform known as Heartect-e, fast-charging capability, regenerative braking modes and drive modes that adjust throttle response. It must be noted that each step up in variants adds tangible value rather than cosmetic upgrades alone.
