Over 450 vehicles of the Maruti Suzuki Victoris badged as ‘Across’ have sailed from Gujarat’s Mundra and Pipavav shipping terminals to global markets
India’s leading automobile manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, has begun worldwide distribution of Victoris. The midsize SUV, domestically introduced during September 2025, received good market reception and recently claimed multiple accolades. The inaugural international consignment comprises over 450 vehicles that have sailed from Gujarat’s Mundra and Pipavav shipping terminals – bound for diverse global destinations.
Global customers will recognise this SUV under the ‘Across’ designation which has been chosen for worldwide brand consistency and market positioning across different cultural contexts. Maruti Suzuki’s ambitious distribution blueprint targets extensive geographical penetration spanning more than 100 nations and territories across the globe.
Strategic emphasis centres on Latin American economies, Middle Eastern markets and African regions where the manufacturer identifies substantial growth potential and opportunities. The SUV’s wraparound exterior styling language is combined with a modern interior boasting good interior space. The vehicle secured maximum 5-star evaluations from both Global NCAP and Bharat NCAP crash testing protocols as well.

Additionally, global automotive audiences witnessed the India-made SUV’s during its prominent display at Japan Mobility Show 2025. The commencement of exports comes on the back of Maruti Suzuki recording its highest shipping tally ever in a single quarter with a year-on-year growth of 42.2 per cent as 1,10,487 units were exported between July and September 2025.
Over six thousand units of the e Vitara were shipped from its Gujarat plant in August and September 2025 for developed markets like United Kingdom and Europe. Moreover, the good reception for the five-door Jimny and the Baleno in Suzuki’s home market of Japan could not have come at a better time. The e Vitara is all set to launch soon and it will be available with 49 kWh and 61 kWh battery packs with a claimed range close to 550 km between charges.

The Suzuki Across based on the Victoris should not be confused with the Across plug-in hybrid based on the Toyota RAV4. The former is equipped with a 1.5L three-cylinder strong hybrid petrol and a 1.5L four-cylinder mild hybrid petrol mill, paired with manual and automatic transmission choices.
