Maruti Suzuki Victoris has already crossed the 25,000 booking milestone and its waiting period stands at nearly ten weeks for select variants
Maruti Suzuki has kicked off the festive season with its best opening in ten years – delivering more than 1.65 lakh vehicles in just the first eight days – driven by the recent GST rate cuts coupled with attractive festive offers rolled out from September 22. With demand showing no signs of slowing, the company projects festive sales to touch nearly 2 lakh units before the season concludes.
The Indo-Japanese manufacturer has crossed 3.50 lakh confirmed bookings with nearly 2.50 lakh units still awaiting delivery. The newly introduced Victoris has quickly emerged as a major contributor for Maruti Suzuki this festive season – crossing 25,000 bookings and pushing waiting periods to nearly ten weeks. At the same time, the Grand Vitara has sustained strong attraction – adding over 500 new bookings each day during the festive phase.
The Victoris is sold through the regular Arena dealerships and it carries a starting price of Rs. 10.50 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base trim. The five-seater midsize SUV garnered five stars in Bharat NCAP as well as Global NCAP crash tests and is packed with features right from the base variant. It can be bought with regular mild-hybrid petrol, CNG and strong hybrid versions.

With demand showing no signs of slowing, the company projects festive sales to touch nearly 2 lakh units before the season concludes. Maruti Suzuki’s vast utility vehicle range, which consists of the Brezza, Ertiga, Fronx, Grand Vitara, Invicto, Jimny, Victoris and XL6, closed the month of September 2025 with 48,695 units sold – lower than the 61,549 units recorded in the same month last year.

The brand recorded 1,32,820 units last month domestically with a YoY drop of just over 12,000 units. On a cumulative basis, April to September FY26 sales stood at 3,17,379 units – compared to 3,43,665 units during the corresponding six-month period of FY25 with a year-to-date decline. The volume de-growth was mainly due to the logistical hurdles faced.
