Price of the MG Majestor will be announced in April 2026 ahead of the commencement of customer deliveries in May
MG Motor India has taken the wraps off the production-spec Majestor – a full-size three-row SUV that will sit at the very top of its domestic portfolio. Reservations have officially commenced with a booking amount of Rs. 41,000 while prices are scheduled to be announced in April. Customer deliveries are expected to begin a month later in May.
Built on a body-on-frame platform derived from the global Maxus D90, the Majestor boasts go-anywhere character. MG has already showcased the SUV tackling challenging terrain but we will reserve our judgement until we drive it. On paper though, multiple terrain response settings have been developed for varying surfaces enhancing its capability – particularly in the four-wheel-drive versions.
Powering the SUV is a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine that produces 213 bhp and 478 Nm of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission handles gear shifts while a selectable 4×4 system is offered in higher trims. The Majestor has been made available in three grades in the domestic market – Sharp 4×2, Savvy 4×2 and Savvy 4×4.

In terms of market positioning, the Majestor is expected to be priced in the Rs. 40–45 lakh (ex-showroom) bracket. It will compete directly with heavyweights such as the Toyota Fortuner and its Legender variant while also going up against the Skoda Kodiaq, Jeep Meridian and the forthcoming Volkswagen Tayron.
On the outside, the MG Majestor gets a muscular and upright stance. The front fascia features a large grille flanked by vertically arranged LED daytime running lights and squared headlamp units. Protective skid plates, blacked-out trim elements, connected LED tail lamps and dual exhaust outlets add to its overall appearance. The SUV rides on 19-inch alloy wheels and is being offered in four exterior colour choices.

Inside the cabin, the SUV can be had in both six- and seven-seat configurations and features a Smoked Ebony interior theme. Key highlights include a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital instrument display, panoramic sunroof and a premium 12-speaker JBL audio setup. Ventilated and massage-enabled front seats, three-zone climate control, 64-colour ambient lighting and a powered tailgate.
The Majestor also comes equipped with Level 2 ADAS, multiple airbags, a 360-degree camera system, wireless charging pads and digital key functionality. The three-row SUV is retailed under the Rakan moniker in the Middle east as well.
