The upcoming MG Majestor will go up against the likes of Toyota Fortuner, Skoda Kodiaq, Jeep Meridian and Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line
JSW MG Motor India recently launched the M9 electric MPV and Cyberster EV in the domestic market, both of which will be sold via the brand’s premium Select dealership outlets. Further expanding its portfolio, the company is preparing for the next big product launch in India, the Majestor. The full-size SUV was first showcased earlier this year at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo.
At the time of its official unveiling at the auto show, it was confirmed that the Majestor will go on sale in the month of May. However, the timeline was pushed forward, and it is now expected to be launched around the festive season. MG is potentially looking to cash in on the sales potential of the festive season, thereby giving it a good head start.
Going into details, the Majestor is essentially a facelifted version of the Gloster SUV, which is already on sale in the country. Reports claim that MG will continue to sell the existing Gloster alongside the new SUV. This means that the Majestor will be sold as the more premium model in the brand’s three-row SUV range.

The Majestor gets an all-new exterior design, resembling the Maxus D90 SUV sold in the international markets. Upfront, it features a prominent grille finished in gloss black, flanked by a set of sleek LED DRLs. The vertically stacked headlights are packed in a black rectangular housing with the design outline merging into the grille. The front bumper gives the Majestor a bulky yet aggressive stance, and so does the hefty wheel arch cladding.
It also sports a new set of alloy wheels, while the rear profile gets a new set of connected LED tail lamps with dual exhaust tips. The prominent ‘Majestor’ lettering on the tail gate speaks of the SUV’s identity. While the interiors are under wraps, we expect the new SUV to get a 12.3-inch free-standing infotainment system and digital instrument cluster, along with minor tweaks to the dashboard layout. Expect the Majestor to come with all the bells and whistles in terms of features.

Under the hood, the MG Majestor will be powered by the familiar 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine putting out 216 bhp and 479 Nm of peak torque. It will be paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox, channelling power to the rear wheels. Much like the Gloster, the 4WD setup will also be on offer.
