MG has crossed 6,600 unit sales mark in the month of July 2025 as it recorded highest monthly sales of the year courtesy of Windsor EV
MG Motor India, now operating under the JSW Group umbrella, ended the month of July 2025 with a total of 6,678 vehicles dispatched across the country – marking its best monthly performance so far in the current calendar year. Compared to the same period last year, when the brand moved 4,575 units, sales have surged by 46 per cent year-on-year.
The company’s top-line growth coincides with the launch of its new premium vertical, MG Select. The newly established luxury arm has been introduced with two premium offerings the M9 MPV and the Cyberster, an all-electric convertible performance car. The MG M9 has been priced at Rs. 69.90 lakh while the Cyberster, dubbed by the brand as its fastest production vehicle to date, enters the market at Rs. 74.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
Paying homage to the iconic MGB Roadster, the Cyberster is an all-electric, all-wheel-drive roadster with twin motors delivering a combined 510 PS and 725 Nm. MG claims the 0-100 kmph sprint takes just 3.2 seconds – backed by a 77 kWh battery rated for 580 km under MIDC conditions. Aerodynamic efficiency is underscored by its 0.269 Cd drag coefficient.

In recent months, MG’s sales volumes have been driven by the Windsor EV. Last month, the electric midsize crossover went past 30,000 unit sales market in just around nine months in India. It is currently the best-selling passenger electric vehicle contributing 60-70 per cent approximately every month to the brand’s domestic sales figures.
MG brought in the Windsor Pro, an updated version equipped with a larger battery and additional tech, in May 2025 with a claimed driving range of close to 450 km on a single charge. It garnered more than 8,000 reservations within 24 hours of orders opening and has played a significant role in Windsor registering good sales over the last couple of months.

MG refers to the Windsor as a crossover utility vehicle and its underpinnings trace back to the Wuling Cloud EV offered abroad. Emphasis has been placed on cabin room and everyday usability while equipment highlights range from a 15.6-inch touchscreen interface to Level 2 driver assistance and rear seats that recline up to 135 degrees.
