Mini Cooper S Victory Edition draws inspiration from the brand’s historic triumph at the 1965 Monte Carlo Rally; to be available in limited numbers
Mini has commenced reservations for a new special edition version of the Cooper S in the domestic market named the Victory Edition. Registrations opened at 12:30 PM today and allocations will be strictly capped for the limited production run model. This commemorative model draws inspiration from the brand’s historic triumph at the 1965 Monte Carlo Rally.
It channels the milestone into a present day performance hatch looking to lure in driving enthusiasts who appreciate racing heritage woven into a modern package. Under the skin, the limited edition is derived from the Cooper S equipped with the John Cooper Works styling package as it carries sleek visual cues associated with MINI’s sport-focused variants.
The Victory Edition draws plenty of attention immediately thanks to its contrast red exterior finish which is complemented by a contrasting light-coloured stripe that runs over the bonnet, roof and rear section. A bold “52” decal is positioned along the sides acting as a nod to the competition number worn by the rally-winning car six decades ago.

The cabin continues the performance theme with sport-oriented trim elements and premium materials – building upon the JCW Pack foundation. While complete equipment lists and pricing details will follow soon, the emphasis here is apparently on exclusivity, heritage and visual appeal instead of outright volume.
The cabin is finished in a dual-tone anthracite and red theme. The lower spoke of the sports steering wheel along with the central console storage compartment, carries “1965” badging. Additionally, the key fob features the historic race number of the 1965 winning Cooper S.

Interested customers can secure their allocation by reaching out to any authorised Mini showroom in India. The brand currently operates sixteen retail facilities nationwide, covering major cities including Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Kolkata, Kochi, Lucknow, Guwahati, Ranchi and Surat.

It is worth noting that the 1965 Victory Edition is offered across the John Cooper Works, John Cooper Works Electric and Cooper S models internationally. It comes with a 2.0-litre turbo four-cylinder engine which produces 204 hp and 300 Nm maximum torque resulting in a 0 to 100 kmph acceleration time of just 6.6 seconds.
