The second generation Kia Seltos gets a host of revisions inside and out while remaining the same as far as engine and gearbox options are concerned
Recently, the all-new Seltos made its world premiere in India and it gets a slew of updates incise and out. Kia sells the new generation Seltos lineup in four trims namely HTE, HTK, HTX and GTX supplemented by multiple option packs such as Convenience, Premium, ADAS and the X-Line styling package while the fully loaded GTX(A) and X-Line(A) variants sit at the top.
The new Seltos becomes Kia’s first India-spec model to use the global K3 platform featuring a stronger structure and higher application of high-strength steel. Standard safety now includes six airbags, ESC, ABS, hill-start assist, rollover detection and rear occupant alert while NVH levels have also improved thanks to the stiffer body shell. Prices for the new Seltos will be revealed on January 2, 2026 ahead of deliveries starting by mid-January.

Step inside, a new black-and-white dual-tone interior with leatherette upholstery can be seen and the dashboard is dominated by a massive 30-inch panoramic display that integrates the digital instrument cluster and infotainment system.

The driver gets a 10-way power-adjustable seat with lumbar support, memory linked to the ORVMs, a welcome slide function and a dedicated relaxation mode. In terms of size, the Seltos has grown noticeably. Measuring 4,460 mm in length and 1,830 mm in width, it now becomes the longest SUV in its segment. The wheelbase stretches to 2,690 mm while the overall width and height have also increased.
Mechanical options remain familiar as Kia continues with its trio of engine options: a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol (115 PS/144 Nm), a 1.5-litre turbo petrol (160 PS/253 Nm) and a 1.5-litre diesel (116 PS/250 Nm). Transmission choices vary by engine and include manual, iMT, CVT, 7-speed DCT and a 6-speed torque converter automatic unit.

On the outside, the Digital Tiger Face is paired with a gloss-black grille and dark accents while lighting elements include projection LED headlamps with dynamic welcome function, star-map LED DRLs and connected LED tail lamps. Visual flair comes from 18-inch dual-tone crystal-cut alloys, neon-painted brake calipers, flush smart door handles, skid plates and an integrated rear spoiler.
The new Seltos also offers ventilated front seats, wireless phone charging, dual Type-C ports, split and reclining rear seats, sunshade curtains and a dual-pane panoramic sunroof. A Bose 8-speaker audio system, 64-colour ambient lighting, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and Kia Connect 2.0 with OTA updates, diagnostics and remote functions are other highlights.
