The new-gen Kia Seltos teaser video reveals the front and rear profile while Bobby Deol is seen behind the steering wheel
The new-gen Kia Seltos will have its world premiere on Dec 10, 2025 in New Delhi, India. However, ahead of the official launch, the company has released the first teaser video of the new SUV on its YouTube channel. The 20-second teaser video shows veteran Bollywood superstar Bobby Deol, fondly addressed as Lord Bobby, behind the steering wheel of the new-gen Seltos while also revealing the front fascia and rear profile briefly. It will directly rival Hyundai Creta, Maruti Victoris, Honda Elevate and Skoda Kushaq in the Indian market.
The teaser video reveals that the new-gen Seltos will have a contemporary design, aligning with Kia’s global design philosophy. It will flaunt a ‘Tiger Face’ front grille in a glossy black theme. The front fascia will house multiple vertical daytime running lights (DRLs), identical to the new-gen Kia Telluride which was unveiled a few days back.
Some other notable design elements, though not visible in the teaser video, could be flush door handles, body cladding around the wheel arches, silver-coloured roof rails and kinked window line. The rear profile, as seen in the teaser, is highly inspired by the Carens Clavis as it boasts of the connected LED tail-lamp cluster and black cladding around the bumper.

Inside the cabin, the new-gen Kia Seltos will borrow the twin 12.3-inch touchscreen setup from the Syros, which will serve as driver’s digital display and central infotainment system. The new SUV will also come with an array of bells and whistles in the form of panoramic sunroof, ventilated and powered seats, wireless charging and LED welcome animations.
It has been learnt that the new-gen Seltos will borrow electric boss mode from Hyundai Creta. The dashboard and steering wheel will be all-new units taking cues from the latest Kia cars. As for the safety of the occupants, it will be equipped with 6-airbags, Level 2 ADAS, 360-degree camera, tyre pressure monitoring system and electronic parking brake.

At the heart, the new-gen Kia Seltos will continue with the 1.5L turbocharged petrol and 1.5L diesel engines. However, it will also become the first Kia SUV in India to debut the strong hybrid tech with the 1.5L naturally-aspirated petrol engine. It has been learnt that the ongoing 1.5L 4-cylinder petrol engine will be electrified with a battery and electric motor.
The new-gen Seltos will be launched in the first half of 2026 while being locally produced at the brand’s Anantapur facility in Andhra Pradesh. It is likely to be more expensive than the present version, which is priced between Rs 10.79-19.81 lakh (ex-showroom). The new-gen Kia Seltos price is expected to start from Rs 11.25 lakh (ex-showroom).
