New Volkswagen T-Roc gets exterior, interior and technology updates and shares a lot with the Tiguan and Tayron
The second generation VW T-Roc has finally made its global debut and is designed from the ground up with sharper lines and a 12 cm greater overall length – making it far roomier than its predecessor. The new silhouette and the coupe-inspired rear end along with the new lighting setup which comprises standard LED headlights and optional IQ.LIGHT matrix units add to the drama.
Germany gets illuminated VW logos front and rear and buyers can select from six paint finishes including new shades like Canary Yellow and Flamed Red with a black bi-colour roof. Step inside and the cabin comes with a significantly upgraded premium appeal. Softer surfaces, a 13-inch infotainment touchscreen and ambient lighting are some of the key highlights.
There is new technology everywhere: a head-up display, the latest driving profile controls borrowed from larger Tiguan and Tayron models and, in the Style trim, a 14-way ergoActive seat with massage. Space is improved for all passengers as even tall adults in the rear won’t feel squeezed and boot capacity grows to 475 litres, a jump of 30 litres.
