New-gen Renault Duster will be introduced on January 26, 2026 and it will sit on the localised CMF-B platform
New spy shots have once again confirmed Renault’s preparations for the return of the Duster to the Indian market. The camouflaged prototype, spotted during recent road tests, reveals a production-ready SUV that closely mirrors the Euro-spec model in terms of shape and stance. Despite the wraps, most of the design details can be clearly seen this time around.
On the outside, the upcoming Duster boasts a front section that appears sharper featuring integrated LED daytime running lights along with LED headlamps while the bumper design seems slightly revised to suit local requirements. The test vehicle rides on large 18-inch diamond-cut Y-pattern alloy wheels – complemented by squared-off wheel arches, thick cladding and pronounced body surfacing. Elements such as the greenhouse design, prominent roof rails and Y-shaped tail lamps are expected to remain identical to the global version.
The new Renault Duster does not share any mechanical or structural carryover. It is built on Renault-Nissan’s CMF-B platform which has been extensively localised and it should enable a competitive price range against the midsize SUV segment’s heavy hitters. Production will take place at Renault’s Oragadam manufacturing facility.

Renault has locked in January 26, 2026 for the official India debut of the all-new Duster. The SUV will act as the foundation for the brand’s renewed push in the country with a three-row derivative planned to follow at a later stage. Inside the cabin, the new-gen Renault Duster is expected to be significantly more upmarket than before and will be in line with the global-spec version.
The dashboard will more likely feature a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay coupled with a 7-inch digital instrument cluster. A modern centre console housing an electronic gear selector and distinctive Y-themed design accents across the interior are also likely. Possible features include wireless phone charging, dual-zone automatic climate control, multiple Type-C fast charging ports and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.

While official engine specifications have not yet been revealed, the India-spec Renault Duster is expected to launch with two petrol powertrain options. Both manual and automatic transmission choices are likely to be offered.
