Royal Enfield Bullet 650 is expected to go on sale in India carrying a competitive price tag; powered by the familiar parallel twin engine
The oldest name in Royal Enfield’s stable was unveiled wearing its biggest engine yet as the Bullet 650 greeted audience and media at the EICMA show in Milan. It leans into its retro roots than any latest RE as it boasts chrome seemingly everywhere and let alone the unmistakable silhouette and the long, metal-heavy stance which made it an icon in the first place.
Only this time, beneath that vintage skin sits the same 647.95 cc parallel-twin that powers RE’s larger twins. The engine, shared with the Interceptor, GT, Super Meteor, Shotgun, etc stays largely unchanged. It’s an air-and-oil-cooled twin producing 47 hp at 7,250 rpm and 52.3 Nm at 5,650 rpm. The six-speed gearbox and slipper clutch continue untouched as well.
The result is a very relaxed and broad-shouldered touring machine – the kind of behaviour Bullet loyalists always wanted but never truly got from the older singles. Royal Enfield hasn’t fiddled with the chassis philosophy either. A steel spine frame is at the heart of it – holding 43 mm telescopic forks up front with 120 mm travel while twin shocks at the rear manage 90 mm travel.

A 19-inch front wheel paired with an 18-inch rear gives the motorcycle its classic stance and steady composure. Stopping power comes from a 320 mm front disc and a 300 mm rear disc with a dual-channel ABS system standard. The teardrop tank still wears hand-laid pinstripes; the old-school “tiger eye” pilot lamps flank a modern LED headlamp and the fenders are finished in chrome.
Even the bench seat, handlebars and metal panels feel like a deliberate throwback. A handful of updates bring the new Royal Enfield Bullet 650 into 2025. The instrument console combines traditional analogue dials with a digital reading for gear position, trip data and service reminders while LED lighting is also standard.

A USB-C port is tucked in subtly. Fuel capacity sits at 14.8 litres and ground clearance stands at 154 mm. Dimensionally, the motorcycle stretches 2,318 mm long, rides on a 1,475 mm wheelbase and weighs 243 kg. It sits 800 mm off the ground at the seat and the tyre sections are 100/90 R19 front and 140/70 R18 rear.
International markets get two shades – Cannon Black and Battleship Blue – priced at 6,749 GBP and 7,499 USD in North America. India will receive it soon, and considering RE’s usual strategy with locally-built twins, a competitive sticker tag of around Rs. 3.40 lakh (ex-showroom) is expected indeed as the MotoVerse event in Goa could be the one to watch out for!
