Expected to go on sale around mid-2026, the Norton Atlas GT will be powered by a 585cc parallel-twin engine
TVS-owned British marque Norton Motorcycles is ready to debut in the Indian market in the first half of 2026. Ahead of its launch, one of the upcoming motorcycles has been spotted testing for the first time, hinting that the brand’s entry in the country is around the corner.
The motorcycle spotted by an Instagram user seems to be the Atlas GT, which will be the most accessible offering in Norton’s line-up. For reference, the adventure motorcycle was officially showcased last year at the EICMA 2025. It will be fully manufactured by TVS in India at its Hosur-based facility.
As per the reports, the Atlas GT will likely first go on sale in the overseas markets in April 2026, while its India launch is expected around mid-2026. Going by the spy shots, the bike appears to be quite sizable. It is the road-focused version, essentially called the Atlas GT, sporting 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends. On the other hand, the regular Atlas model relies on 19/17-inch (F/R) cross-spoke wheels.

While the test motorcycle is wrapped in black covers, we could spot the sleeker tail section with the rear lamp integrated into the indicators. The luggage mounting rack seen on the bike displayed at ECIMA is missing on the test mule. Apart from this, the design of the mirrors and the short exhaust endcan closely resemble to what we saw on the Atlas model at the motorcycle show last year.
The test motorcycle is also sporting knuckle guards, drawing similarity to the Atlas GT showcased at the EICMA. Overall, the two-wheeler seems quite proportionate, along with giving a hefty appeal, thanks to the bulky fairing setup.

The company previously revealed that the Norton Atlas will be powered by a 585cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine, sporting a 270-degree crank layout. It will be mated to a 6-speed gearbox. While the exact power figures are yet to be revealed, it will produce around 65-70 hp.
In terms of features, the Atlas GT will come equipped with an 8-inch TFT instrument cluster with connected features, cruise control, traction control, riding modes, and a bunch of other electronic aids. The market launch of the Atlas adventure motorcycle will be closely followed by the debut of other Norton motorcycles, namely the Manx and Manx R.
