Poco F8 Ultra runs Geekbench as its launch nears

The Poco F8 Ultra and the Poco F8 Pro might be launching quite soon, much earlier than their predecessors’ one-year anniversary in March. While the brand hasn’t made an official announcement on the matter, we say this because both devices have already started doing the certifications dance across the world, and we’ve even seen the F8 Pro’s box revealing “Sound by Bose”.

The F8 Ultra, on the other hand, has just run Geekbench, and this, as usual, means we get to know what chipset is powering it. You’ll be happy to find out it’s the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. It was paired with 16GB of RAM in the unit which ran the benchmark, while the software on board was Android 16. Undoubtedly, this will come with Xiaomi’s HyperOS 3 on top when the phone launches.

So, at least in terms of chipset and memory, the Poco F8 Ultra will be a top of the line device. Other specs haven’t been leaked yet, but the Poco F8 Ultra is very likely to be a rebranded Redmi K90 Pro Max.

If that’s the case, then expect it to come with a 6.9-inch 1200×2608 AMOLED touchscreen with 120Hz refresh rate, 3,500-nit peak brightness, and 2,560Hz PWM, up to 1TB of storage, a triple rear camera system (50MP main with OIS, 50MP periscope telephoto with 5x optical zoom, 50MP ultrawide), a 32MP selfie camera, a Bose sound system with two stereo speakers and a woofer at the back, and a 7,560 mAh battery with support for 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.
