The all-new Tata Sierra and all-new Kia Seltos have generated a lot of buzz, but the most anticipated SUV in the segment still remains the all-new Renault Duster
The all-new Renault Duster is the third generation of the company’s rugged mid-size SUV. The latest model builds on the nameplate’s core strengths, including authentic SUV styling and strong off-road capability, and brings a whole new level of sophistication in terms of comfort, convenience, connectivity, and safety.
A high ground clearance of up to 210 mm, an upright front fascia, a long bonnet with power domes, a high waistline, fender flares, 18-inch alloy wheels, pronounced shoulders, raised roof rails, and prominent skid plates lend the 2026 Renault Duster an athletic look and commanding road presence. Block-lettered brand inscription at the front, Y-shaped daytime running lights, diamond-cut alloy wheel design, and a slightly rugged rear windscreen elevate sophistication.
The interior of the all-new Renault Duster features an elegant and practical design and offers a confidence-inspiring high seating position. There are more hard plastics than you’d see in softer, more road-focused SUVs in this segment, but old-school SUV lovers will appreciate the raw, utilitarian ambience of this cabin.

The 2026 Renault Duster offers 28.9 litres of storage compartments and 472 litres (FWD)/358 litres (AWD) of boot space, expandable to 1,564 litres (FWD)/1,424 litres (AWD). It features a 7-inch driver information display, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto, a wireless charger, and four USB Type-C ports.
Renault does not offer a power tailgate or a panoramic sunroof internationally, and we doubt it’ll give these features in India. The company will likely save them for a three-row SUV it plans to launch later. It does offer heated front seats internationally and could replace them with ventilated ones in our market.

The 2026 Renault Duster will likely come with a 1.3-litre turbocharged direct-injection four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 113 kW (151 hp) and 250 Nm of torque, linked to a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
An AWD system could be offered as an option, but only with the manual transmission. A hybrid variant based on a 1.8-litre naturally aspirated petrol mill should follow within a year of launch. Renault plans to debut the 2026 Duster in India on 26 January and will likely launch it in February.
