Royal Enfield Himalayan Mana Black Edition 2

Royal Enfield has introduced the Himalayan Mana Black Edition with a price tag of Rs 3.37 lakh (ex-showroom) taking inspiration from the brutal terrain of Mana Pass near the India–China border. At 5,600 plus metres above sea level, the region is known for its thin air and hostile conditions and the new colour and equipment package looks to reflect that raw and high-altitude character through both design and purpose.

The most striking addition is the darkened theme. The motorcycle wears a full matte black finish on the body panels as well as across most visual elements – giving it an almost stealth-like appearance. Instead of simply being a cosmetic variant, this edition arrives with factory-fitted adventure accessories that make it more off-road ready straight off the showroom floor.

Underneath, the adv is built on Royal Enfield’s Sherpa 450 engine platform. Power continues to come from a 451.65 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine pushing out 39.5 PS and 40 Nm. It uses electronic fuel injection with ride-by-wire and is paired with a six-speed gearbox and assist-and-slipper clutch. The tuning remains focused on strong mid-range performance which is essential for both mountain roads and trail riding.

The chassis features a steel twin-spar tubular frame with a long-travel suspension setup. Up front are 43 mm upside-down forks delivering 200 mm of travel while the rear uses a linkage-type monoshock with similar movement. With a ground clearance of 230 mm and a wheelbase of 1510 mm, the motorcycle boasts 860 mm seat height as the standard model.

Some of the highlighting hardware elements are black Rally hand-guards, a dual Rally seat, a taller Rally mudguard and wire-spoked tubeless wheels. The braking system comprises a 320 mm front disc and a 270 mm rear disc – both supported by switchable dual-channel ABS. Tyres are a 21-inch unit up front and a 17-inch at the rear.

On the technology front, the motorcycle gets a four-inch round TFT display with built-in navigation powered by Google Maps along with ride modes, media control and a USB Type-C charging port. It also gets all-LED lighting as standard courtesy of the circular LED headlamp and the LED indicators that double up as tail lamp as in the regular version.
