No less than 5 new models are coming from two popular car brands in India later this quarter
Tata Motors and Hyundai, two of India’s most popular car brands, are set to introduce five new cars soon. All five upcoming Tata and Hyundai models will be SUVs, expected to be priced between 7.5 lakh to 15 lakh rupees.
1. Next-gen Hyundai Venue

With a bolder exterior and classier interior, a multitude of new connectivity, convenience, comfort, and safety features, and updated, more efficient engines, the next-gen Hyundai Venue would bring a new level of sophistication to the sub-4 metre SUV segment. Hyundai plans to launch the all-new Venue on 4th November.

2. New Tata Punch

The Tata Punch, which was India’s best-selling car last year, is set to receive a facelift next month. The facelifted model should feature revised bumpers, a new lower grille, tweaked headlamp graphics, and new alloy wheels. Inside, a new two-spoke steering wheel featuring an illuminated brand logo, ventilated front seats, and new decor materials and seat covers could be among the updates. No mechanical changes are expected with the facelift.
3. All-new Tata Sierra
The Tata Sierra is returning to showrooms after a two-decade hiatus. The all-new model will be a 5-door SUV, though, offering better ingress and egress. Featuring a squarish exterior with a commanding stance, it will offer a far stronger road presence than current models in the segment like the Hyundai Creta and Maruti Grand Vitara. Inside, a front passenger display and a four-seat lounge version are expected to be among the first in the segment.

Tata Motors will likely offer the all-new Sierra with all-new 1.5-litre naturally aspirated and turbocharged petrol engines, and also a 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine. The company will likely launch this model also in November, followed by its pure electric variant, the Sierra.ev, in January next year.

4. Tata Harrier Petrol

The Tata Harrier will receive the same 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine as the all-new Sierra. This engine will develop 168 hp and 280 Nm of torque and likely come with both manual and automatic transmission options. Tata Motors is expected to introduce this engine in December and significantly reduce the Harrier’s entry price from the current 13,99,990 rupees (ex-showroom).
5. Tata Safari Petrol

Along with the Harrier, the Safari will likely also receive the 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine in December. Like in the five-seat SUV, Tata Motors should offer manual and automatic transmission options in the three-row model. Currently priced from 14,66,290 rupees (ex-showroom), the Safari will likely become significantly cheaper with the introduction of the new engine option.
