In the list of top 10 car brands in November 2025, Maruti Suzuki led the way while Mahindra moved up to second ahead of Tata and Hyundai
Last month proved to be a telling month for the Indian passenger vehicle industry with several manufacturers putting up strong performances despite growing competition and cooling festive demand. Maruti Suzuki once again asserted its dominance – topping the charts with 1,55,317 units sold – backed by a steady year-on-year growth of 19 per cent.
A notable shift in the ranking saw Mahindra surge ahead of both Tata Motors and Hyundai. With 54,005 units sold in November, Mahindra secured the second position – registering a healthy 20 per cent growth compared to the same period last year. Tata Motors wasn’t far behind – closing the month with 51,672 units and a year-on-year growth of 22 per cent.
In November 2025, Mahindra and Tata swapped positions compared to the previous month. While it was edged out by Mahindra, Tata still delivered a good performance – supported by a mix of ICE and EV offerings. Hyundai followed closely in the fourth position. The Korean automaker recorded sales of 49,295 units with a comparatively moderate growth of 9 per cent.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor continued its consistent run in the Indian market with 27,660 units sold – aided by an appreciable 27 per cent growth rate. Kia also delivered an impressive month, selling 23,675 vehicles and witnessing a 24 per cent jump. It recorded its highest November wholesales too and recently introduced the new generation Venue.
Among the highlighting performers, Skoda registered an eye-catching 90 per cent growth – reaching 5,941 units in November. The steep rise indicates a growing acceptance of the brand’s latest models especially the Kushaq and Kylaq. MG Motor, too, recorded 5,754 units, along with a 32 per cent growth rate on a YoY basis.

Honda posted sales of 5,204 units with a modest 4 per cent increase while Renault rounded off the top ten with 3,662 units and a healthy 30 per cent growth. The SUV market is currently booming with plenty of new launches as manufacturers look to grab a clear advantage heading into new calendar year.
