In the top 10 car sales table for the month of June 2025, Hyundai Creta stood on top ahead of the Maruti Suzuki trio of Dzire, Brezza and Ertiga
In the June 2025 passenger vehicle sales table, Hyundai and Maruti Suzuki dominated the upper half of the top ten. At the top, Hyundai Creta clawed back to lead position after finding itself outside of the top ten the previous month, although its volumes dipped slightly on YoY basis. The midsize SUV registered 15,786 units which indicated a marginal fall of 3 per cent compared to June last year.
The second position went to the Maruti Suzuki Dzire which showed notable improvement but gave up the number one spot to Creta last month. With 15,484 units dispatched in June 2025, the compact sedan posted an impressive year-on-year growth of 15 per cent. Not far behind, the Brezza stayed put third, increasing 10 per cent over the previous year and reaching 14,507 units.
Meanwhile, the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga recorded a dip in demand. The MPV dropped by 11 per cent year-on-year with 14,151 units posted during the month. The Swift saw an even sharper decline. With 13,275 units dispatched, the compact hatchback fell 19 per cent compared to its June 2024 performance. Following its sibling in the sixth position, the Wagon R also faced contraction – down 6 per cent to 12,930 units.

Mahindra’s Scorpio continued its consistent run, occupying the seventh slot. The combined volumes of the Scorpio Classic and Scorpio N led to a 4 per cent gain with 12,740 units registered in June 2025. Tata Motors’ Nexon garnered 11,602 units in the same period but slipped slightly by 4 per cent when compared to the same month the previous year.
A far steeper fall was seen with the Tata Punch as it moved 10,446 units with a sharp 43 per cent drop. The Punch used to lead the passenger vehicle sales table with ease, however, it could not maintain that level of consistency in the ever demanding market right now.

Rounding out the top ten, the Maruti Suzuki Fronx saw near-flat movement with a 1 per cent YoY sales increase. A total of 9,815 units were recorded in June 2025, compared to 9,688 units during the same month last year. The concluded month showed the competitive picture of India’s passenger vehicle market midway through the year as constant changes have been witnessed.
