The table of top 10 compact SUVs in June 2025 saw Maruti Suzuki Brezza leading the charge ahead of the Tata duo of Nexon and Punch
The Maruti Suzuki Brezza stood on the top of the compact SUV pile in the month of June 2025 in India registering a domestic tally of 14,507 units which marked a growth of 10 per cent compared to the same period last year. While most rivals saw a drop, the Brezza’s numbers showed steady demand as it finished ahead of the Tata duo.
The Nexon was the second most sold compact SUV in India with a total of 11,602 units – reflecting a marginal four per cent decline from June 2024. Even with consistent updates, the numbers suggest a slower response for the once segment topper. Its sibling, the Tata Punch, suffered the same fate as it couldn’t replicate its previous volumes.
The Punch, which had crossed the 18,000 mark during the same period twelve months ago, finished third in the compact SUV sales standings last month. Tata moved 10,446 units of the micro SUV in June with a sharp 43 per cent drop year-on-year. Maruti Suzuki’s Fronx continued to hold ground with 9,815 units, marking a modest one per cent rise over June last year.
