The table of top 10 sedans in July 2025 saw Maruti Suzuki Dzire remaining on top ahead of Hyundai Aura, Honda Amaze and Volkswagen Virtus
The sedan space in the month of July 2025 saw familiar names retaining their spots but the overall sentiment remains grim as many continue to record negative sales. The market leader, Maruti Suzuki, stayed put with its dominance show while other players such as Hyundai, Honda, Skoda and Volkswagen recorded varied outcomes.
The Maruti Suzuki Dzire topped the charts with 20,895 units sold – marking a sharp 79 per cent year-on-year increase compared to 11,647 units in July 2024. The surge highlights the strong demand for the compact sedan – consolidating its position as the best-selling model in its segment as the arrival of the new generation has paid off.
The Hyundai Aura maintained the second spot with 4,636 units – though it posted a 3 per cent decline compared to 4,757 units in the same period last year. The Honda Amaze followed in third place, recording 2,009 units, down 14 per cent from 2,327 units posting during the corresponding period twelve months ago with a slowdown in demand.
