1. Toyota Innova HyCross

The Innova HyCross has been awarded the highest 5-star safety rating by Bharat NCAP. Sitting on the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) platform, it performed exceptionally in both Adult and Child Occupant protection. The MPV comes loaded with a plethora of advanced safety features such as Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Blind Spot Monitor, Six airbags, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Traction Control (TRC), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Hill-Start Assist Control, Rear Parking Camera, Front & Rear Parking Sensors, and All-Wheel Disc Brakes.

2. Tata Harrier EV

Touted as India’s safest all-wheel drive electric SUV, Tata Harrier EV bagged the highest 5-star safety rating from Bharat NCAP. The e-SUV scored 32 out of 32 in Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) and 45 out of 49 in Child Occupant Protection (COP). The Harrier EV comes equipped with top-notch safety features such as HD Rear-view mirror (e-IRVM) with Digital Video Recorder, 7 airbags, ADAS Level 2 with 20+ features, Transparent mode with 540° Clear View Assist and 360° 3D camera, ESP with i-VBAC, SOS Call function, Hill Descent Control, Hill Hold Assist and TPMS.

3. Maruti Dzire

Being the country’s first 5-star Bharat NCAP-rated sedan, Maruti Dzire is sold with 6-airbags across all variants as standard safety feature. In addition, Electronic Stability Program+ (ESP) is also offered across the entire variant line-up of the sedan. Underpinning the 5th-gen HEARTECT platform, the Dzire gets several advanced safety features in the form of Hill Hold Assist, ABS with EBD, 360 View Camera (HD), Speed-sensitive auto door locking, High-Speed warning alert, Reverse Parking Camera & Sensors and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).

4. Kia Syros

The Syros became the brand’s first SUV to receive the highest 5-star safety rating by the Bharat NCAP. It had an impressive score of 30.21 out of 32 in Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) and 44.42 out of 49 in Child Occupant Protection (COP). Some of the notable safety features on-board are Level 2 ADAS tech with 16 autonomous safety features, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM) and 6-airbags among the 20 Standard active and passive safety functions.

5. Skoda Kylaq

It was the first Skoda passenger car to be tested by the Bharat NCAP and the SUV didn’t disappoint either as it scored the highest 5-star safety rating. Obtaining 30.88 in the Adult Occupant Protection and 45.00 child Occupant Protection, Skoda Kylaq emerged as the safest car in its segment. It comes loaded with 25 advanced safety features which include six airbags, Electronic Stability Control, Roll Over Protection, Hill Hold Control, Multi-Collision Braking and Anti-lock Braking System.
