Toyota Camry Hybrid Sprint Edition gets dual-tone finish with matte black accents, matte black alloy wheels, sports kit and more
Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has launched the Camry Hybrid in its special Sprint Edition in India. Since its introduction in 2002, the Camry has served as a premium sedan offering with good reception and has enjoyed success since 1982 globally. The Sprint Edition gets visual enhancements to differentiate itself from the standard model.
Powering the Toyota Camry Sprint Edition is a familiar 2.5-litre Dynamic Force engine paired with an e-CVT transmission and a high-capacity lithium-ion battery. The combination gives rise to a hybrid system enabling reduced emissions and improved efficiency. It produces a maximum power output of 230 PS while offering best-in-class mileage of 25.49 km per litre.
Drive modes including Eco, Normal and Sport allow drivers to adapt performance to their preferences – supported by the fifth generation hybrid technology. The exterior of the Camry Sprint Edition receives a dual-tone finish with matte black accents across the hood, roof and trunk. In addition, matte black alloy wheels and an exclusive sports kit with front and rear body kits along with a rear spoiler enhance its appeal.
The cabin benefits from ambient lighting and door warning lamps complementing convenience features such as ventilated front seats, a 10-way power-adjustable driver seat with memory, paddle shifters, wireless charging and a heads-up display. In terms of safety, the Camry Sprint Edition is equipped with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 suite.
It comprises Pre-Collision System, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Departure Alert, Lane Tracing Assist and Automatic High Beam. It is further supported by nine SRS airbags, Vehicle Stability Control, Traction Control, Hill Start Assist Control, Electronic Parking Brake with Brake Hold, a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System and a 360-degree camera system.
The new variant is available in five two-tone colour choices: Emotional Red and Matte Black, Platinum White Pearl and Matte Black, Cement Grey and Matte Black, Precious Metal and Matte Black and Dark Blue Metallic and Matte Black. As before, Toyota is offering an 8-year or 160,000 km warranty on the hybrid battery.
The Camry Sprint Edition is priced at Rs. 48.50 lakh ex-showroom across India with bookings now open online and through Toyota dealerships nationwide.
