Toyota posted 34,034 vehicles in February 2026 with a healthy rise of 20 per cent compared to the same month last year when volumes stood at 28,414 units

Toyota Kirloskar Motor recorded a combined dispatch figure of 34,034 vehicles in February 2026 with a healthy rise compared to the same month last year when volumes stood at 28,414 units. The surge in volume shows an overall annual growth rate of 20 per cent courtesy of gains in both local sales and shipments to foreign markets.

The Japanese auto major’s international business emerged as a significant growth contributor during the second month of the new calendar year. Shipments to overseas markets increased to 3,297 units – a substantial jump over the 2,000 units exported in during the corresponding month last year with a 65 per cent spike.

The domestic market also contributed positively. Sales within India climbed to 30,737 units in February 2026 when compared to 26,414 units during the same period last year. The numbers led to a 16 per cent increase enabling stable consumer demand and sustained sales figures across the company’s product portfolio – especially in the mass-market space.

Performance over the first two months of the calendar year further indicates an upward trend as well. Between January and February 2026, total volumes reached 67,914 units – exceeding the 57,785 units registered during the same stretch in 2025 with an 18 per cent year-on-year growth. In the domestic segment, cumulative volumes for January–February 2026 stood at 61,367 units – up from 52,592 units a year earlier with a 17 per cent gain.

Exports during this period rose to 6,547 units – compared to 5,193 units previously – with a 26 per cent increase. The monthly and year-to-date figures point the finger towards well-rounded growth pattern for Toyota with both Indian operations and export markets contributing consistently. The good reception for badge engineered models like the Glanza, derived from Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Rumion from Ertiga should not be understated.

In addition, the collaborative products including the Urban Cruiser Hyryder and the loyal nameplates like Innova Crysta and Hycross along with the more premium Fortuner are contributing good volumes every month. Toyota is currently preparing to introduce the Urban Cruiser Ebella, its first all-electric EV for India, soon and its bookings are already open.
